It’s a new season and you know what that means… We’ve been treated to a brand new Arsenal Fan TV.

The first offerings from Arsenal’s dedicated and insanely popular fan channel did not disappoint by any means but several elements of the videos looked markedly different from last season.

According to a report in the Sun, Arsenal Fan TV were forced into a rebrand after discussions were held with the club.

It’s claimed that the Gunners had complained that the channel’s unauthorised use of ‘Arsenal’ was having a negative effect on the club, who requested changes in recent months.

Several supporters noticed that the channel is now called ‘AFTV’, with the various social media handles changing to ‘AFTVMedia’.

Arsenal Fan TV was originally set up in October 2012 and has since gone on to amass over 487,500,000 total views and over 820,000 subscribers.

The videos are typically hosted by Robbie Lyle, who is the face of the channel, while regular contributors include Troopz, Mr DT, Ty and Claude.

The ‘about’ section of the channel’s YouTube page now reads: “AFTV is the No.1 Fan Channel on YouTube. It was set up by Arsenal Fans for Arsenal Fans. We get fans reactions to each game and show and talk about all things Arsenal.

“AFTV is not part of the official Arsenal Football Club. It is a platform where fans can voice their independent opinions on the greatest football club in the world.”
