In the greatest heavyweight of all time discussions, Fedor Emelianenko always gets a mention.

The PRIDE icon was one of the most feared fighters on the planet during his prime, an impressive feat for someone who famously never competed in the UFC. Fedor went on the tear from 2001 until 2009 going on a 28-fight undefeated streak in the weight class where any one punch can truly change the course of a fight. During this period, the Russian knockout artist defeated former UFC champions Mark Coleman (twice), Minotauro Nogueira, Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski to solidify his place in MMA folklore. In the modern landscape of MMA, it is no longer the case that the UFC has the best fighters in every weight class on their books. However, back when Fedor was dusting elite opponents in his stride, they had most of them. Fedor was perhaps the most high-profile star they never managed to land.
