Vincent Kompany has been named as the new player/manager of Belgian giants Anderlecht, after announcing that he would leave current club Manchester City following their FA Cup final win on Saturday. Kompany revealed early on Sunday morning that this season would be his last at City, the club where he has played 360 games and scored 20 goals over 11 years. Shortly after that announcement, Kompany confirmed that his next position in football would be that of player/manager at the club where he began his career, Anderlecht.
