An old Dele Alli tweet about Paul Pogba is gaining plenty of retweets (again)

Not for the first time, one of Dele Alli's old social media posts is making waves.

Over a year on from when *that* myspace picture of a very young Alli started doing the rounds (yes, he was somehow old enough to have had a myspace account), this time it's one of the Tottenham star's tweets that attracting attention. Sent almost four years ago, the tweet simply reads 'Paul Pogba is a joke' and, if taken literally, might seem like quite a mean thing for a young(er) Alli to say about the Frenchman. However, given that on that very same day - January 19, 2013 - the then Juventus midfielder did this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj6TZObW4gM ... we can safely say that the tweet was meant as a compliment. Y'know, 'Paul Pogba possesses so much talent, it's actually a joke'... that sort of thing. Anyway, a lot has happened to both players since that day. Alli has moved from MK Dons and established himself as a key player for Tottenham and England; Pogba has returned to Manchester United, with the Old Trafford forking out the biggest transfer fee in history to make it happen. The discovery of Alli's tweet earlier in the season, at a time when Pogba appeared to be struggling to adapt to life back in the Premier League, saw the tweet clock up thousands of retweets. Now, hot on the heels of a disappointing showing from the Frenchman against Liverpool on Sunday, the tweet is getting another airing from 'b*nter'-loving football fans.
