The day began very early with the 10km marathon swimming which was won by Hungarian swimmer Kristof Rasovszky with GB’s Hector Pardoe coming in sixth.

Round three of the golf got underway at 8am with both British golfers far from medal contention.

Starting from 9am one of diving’s great spectacles, the men’s 10m individual platform qualifiers will be starting with Kyle Kothari and Noah Williams involved.

From the same time Katarina Johnson-Thompson will continue her strong start in the women’s heptathlon, already leading from yesterday.

The athletics will be in full flow by 09:40 with Team GB’s women racing the first round in the 4x400m relay with the men following 25 minutes later.

At 10:30am the semi-finals for the men’s 800m will feature three British runners, Max Burgin, Elliot Giles and Ben Pattison.

Meanwhile at 11:05 Cindy Sember will be trying to hurdle her way into the women’s 100m hurdles final.

At 11:35 GB’s sport climbing comes to a conclusion with GB’s Toby Roberts and Hamish McArthur in the boulder and lead medal final.

After lunch GB’s Yasmin Harper and Grace Reid will be diving in the final of the women’s 3m springboard final at 14:00.

Two hours later at 16:00 the semi-final of the modern pentathlon will get started with GB’s Joseph Choong competing, the Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020.

Just after 17:00 Team GB will be in the velodrome going for gold in the women’s madison final.

Spectators will be treated to a spectacle at 18:30 when GB compete in the artistic swimming, formerly known as synchronised swimming.

However, viewers will have a tough choice as at the same time GB bid for glory on the athletics track with finals in the men’s 4x100m at 18:47, women’s 400m at 19:00 and the women’s 10,000m featuring well-known runner Eilish McColgan.

GB will be hoping for more golden days in the final straight towards the finish line of the Paris 2024 Olympics, sitting fifth in the medal table, however still on track to reach their medal target set before the games.
