Alex Sanchez has apparently dropped a subtle hint to Arsenal fans he’s staying

No need to worry about Sánchez now Gunners fans.

What a difference a few days can make in the Premier League.

Earlier this week Arsenal were heading into their fixture against a forlorn Everton side with a chance to pull level with Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Things were looking good. The league was wide open. United were off the pace. Pep seemed to have decided to attempt City’s title challenge without the grubby, ignoble art of tackling. Liverpool had about as much chance of keeping a clean sheet as a norovirus sufferer.

If the Gunners could keep pace with an imperious Chelsea, this could finally be the season it all came together.

And with world class talent in their ranks like Alexis Sánchez and Mesut Ozil, why not?

But then it came apart under the floodlights of Goodison as a combative Everton pulled off an unlikely 2-1 comeback.

All of a sudden the Gunners are six points adrift of Chelsea and one half of Arsene’s world class axis is apparently not world class at all. After going MIA at Goodison, Ozil is apparently a lazy, non-tracking back, non-marking waste of highly-remunerated space. The fraud.

Also the now sole remaining world class Arsenal player, Sánchez , out of contract in 18 months and yet to commit his future to the club, there was real cause for nerves among Gunners fans.

Well not any more, as it appears Sánchez is definitely staying because according to The Metro the Chilean has telegraphed his intentions to remain at The Emirates for the rest of his playing career.

The subtle signal was given in a recent interview after he was asked how he likes to relax. Sánchez replied:

“I listen to different types of music, such as reggaeton, and when it comes to bands I listen to Aventura, Bryan Adams or Pavarotti to mention a few.

“Depending on the day I listen to one style of music or another and I am learning a lot of English thanks to my favourite song lyrics.”

He’s learning English, LEARNING ENGLISH. Which must mean he has no intention of leaving Arsenal. Ever.

Unless… unless it’s to another club in England perhaps?

Oh…
