Back to Reality...

After a quiet few summer weeks, the UK news cycle sprang back into life this week, with Monday's revelation that former Prime Minister, and good friend of the Pub Quiz, Sir Keir Starmer has left mainstream politics.

Starmer's decision to quit as an MP came on the very same day as the opening of Parliament after summer recess, somewhat overshadowing Andy Burnham's first day in front of MPs...

Where in the past we've dedicated entire rounds to the 2024 champ, this time a single question in the general knowledge round will have to suffice.

Also this week, we had to endure another chaotic transfer deadline day on Tuesday, bringing with it a customary late night for the sports writers of the world.

Anyway onto the quiz, other than sport and general knowledge, we also have the typical five questions on "entertainment," then it's onto special rounds, which this week are focused on surprising celebrity relations, and movie posters.
