A Total Eclipse of the Sun...

We once again find ourselves staring over the precipice of another summer weekend, at the end of another British heatwave, our fifth hot spell of the year!

Whereas last week we were struggling to find anything to properly talk about, this week has been much, much busier.

Wednesday's historic solar eclipse got things started, and now we have the (as I write this, still unresolved) Clacton by-election, featuring Nigel Farage and a whole host of comical characters, including Nick the Incredible Flying Brick and the ever-popular Count Binface.

So, whether the Reform leader manages to regain his seat will have to wait until next week.
