This week in the JOE offices, something's not been quite right, all of us have been feeling a little different, out of sorts even, and we've finally worked out what it is... that's right, we've all picked up a case of full-on World Cup fever!

As I write on Wednesday, a day before the grand kick-off, all I have is optimism, which will last about seven days, until the Three Lions' first fixture, at which point, the typical English sense of scepticism will inevitably kick in.
