The government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme kicks in from August 3rd, running up until the end of the month. Under the scheme, you can get 50% off dine-in food and non-alcoholic drinks at participating restaurants from Monday to Wednesday.
On top of that, the government have cut VAT rates for the hospitality business from 20% to 5%. When combined with pre-existing offers in restaurants, August is going to be a very affordable month to go out to eat, pandemic notwithstanding.
