He’s starting to get a little bit worried

Donald Trump hasn’t had the best of weeks.

Even by his standards, the past seven days haven’t been too kind on the American President.

On Tuesday evening, Trump met with top Democrats to discuss a number of topics, with border control being at the forefront of the conversation.

Trump appeared to lose his temper during the meeting, and said at one point that: “You know what I’ll say? Yes. If we don’t get what we want, one way or another, whether it’s through you, or through military, or through anything you wanna call it – I will shut down the government.”

Strong words…

And following the backlash, he has apparently confided to his friends as he is concerned about potential impeachment.

He has told people close to him in recent days that he is alarmed by the prospect, according to NBC.

Sources close to NBC have said that Trump’s fear about the possibility has escalated as the consequences of federal investigations involving his associates and Democratic control of the House sink in, and his allies believe maintaining the support of establishment Republicans he bucked to win election is now critical to saving his presidency.

Impeachment is not a regular occurrence in America.

Only Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson have ever been impeached by the House of Representatives, and both were ultimately acquitted by the Senate.

In this instance, it would be extremely unlikely that Trump would be impeached by the Senate because of the republican majority there.
