According to DallasNews, Cruz and his followers were chanting "Send him back to Ireland", at one point during the rally. https://twitter.com/dallasnews/status/1036715709634670593 O'Rourke is a fourth generation Irishman, so we feel that "sending him back to Ireland", would probably be a little bit harsh. Ted Cruz himself, full name Rafael Edward Cruz, is a descendant of immigrants. At one event in 2015, he even went as far as to say: "I'm Cuban, Irish, and Italian, and yet somehow I ended up Southern Baptist." Maybe he forgot... Cruz is currently serving as the Senator from Texas, a position which O'Rourke is eager to take from him. Recently, Cruz criticised O'Rourke for swearing while answering questions at a conference.
