Newsnight replaces end credits with list of ministerial resignations set to Bittersweet Symphony

It comes as Brandon Lewis and Helen Whately both handed in resignation letters this morning 

Newsnight replaced its end credits with a list of all the ministerial resignations to have hit the prime minister following a turbulent few days in No10. Northern Ireland Secretary Brandon Lewis became the latest MP to resign his role in the Cabinet at around 7am this morning, telling the Prime Minister that Government requires “honesty, integrity and mutual respect”. Minutes later, Treasury minister Helen Whately also stepped down, writing that there “are only so many times you can apologise and move on” in her resignation letter. And only moments ago, Security minister Damian Hinds resigned, saying: “It shouldn’t take the resignation of dozens of colleagues, but for our country, and trust in our democracy, we must have a change of leadership.” It comes after a flurry of resignations hit the government over the past few hours. At one point, it was difficult to keep up.
