Just once, it would be nice to see Rees-Mogg attempt to hide his disdain for regular people
Jacob Rees-Mogg has angered, well, everyone with his latest comments in the House of Commons, where he appeared to mock the plight of British fisherman struggling in the wake of Brexit.
Much has been made of the struggles facing the fishing industry since Britain left the EU. A host of firms, in Scotland and the rest of Britain, that export fish to Europe have spoken out on how red tape has almost completely halted their ability to export since a post-Brexit deal was agreed.
For some companies, this has meant a drop in prices of as much as 80 percent, while other companies have been left with tens of thousands of pounds worth of fish stuck on lorries unable to enter Europe.
Under new rules, every box of seafood requires a health certificate before it can enter Europe. This means unloading and checking each and every box.
But for Rees-Mogg, a man so wealthy that he is insulated from any negative consequence of Brexit, all of this is appears to be a laughing matter, judging by his comments today.

"The key is we've got our fish back. They're now British fish and they're better and happier fish for it," he said, before chuckling and sitting back down.
His comment was noted by the Speaker of the House, who said: "Obviously there's overwhelming evidence for that" before everyone present had a good old laugh.
Rees-Mogg's callous comments, at a time when British people and businesses are struggling, have unsurprisingly been seized upon by those who view it as yet another example of the dismissive manner in which the Conservative party view many people in this country.
