He was using his phone at the time of the crash
A YouTuber crashed his £100k McLaren car into the side of a dual carriageway whilst filming a live stream.
Jack Doherty, 20, a popular YouTuber was on his phone whilst at the wheel of the supercar with his friend filming in the passenger seat.
The camera pans forward to see the wet road conditions, capturing the final moments before the content creator veers right and loses control, crashing into the side barrier of a dual carriageway.
No serious injuries were reported but Doherty’s cameraman had blood on his face following the crash and it was later confirmed that his injuries required stitches.
Instead of seeking medical help, Doherty pulled his phone out and filmed the aftermath, asking his injured cameraman to keep on recording.
He was slammed online for his reaction as viewers accused him of caring more about his car than his friend.
New footage online shows Doherty being dragged from the car through the window by passersby. He walks around the car saying: “My f**king car, holy s**t no.”
After a few moments, he goes round to the passenger side where cameraman, Michael is still trapped inside, holding his arm with blood running down his face.
Many took to X to slam the YouTuber: “License suspended, jail time. This is well documented reckless driving. At a minimum he should be banned on all platforms for this.”
The 20-year-old shot to fame on YouTube and later streaming service Kick for prank-style videos, amassing a huge net worth of $60million. He has used his wealth to buy an impressive fleet of supercars.
In a video uploaded to social media, Doherty introduced his followers to his stable as he took his McLaren for a makeover.
The car appears to be a 570GT model, worth approximately £94,000 making it the cheapest in his collection.
He also has a £99,000 Tesla Model X and £230,000 Lamborghini Huracan. All three vehicles are capable of travelling over 150mph and are wrapped in his favourite light blue.
