Woman’s head found in park as police find body parts in plastic bag

A woman's head has been found in a park in Paris, the day after other body parts had been found nearby in a plastic bag. French police have located other body parts, including a piece found today in the Buttes-Chaumont Park, one of the biggest green spaces situated in the northeast of France's capital. Local media reports that park staff helped cops tracks down the head during a police search at 11am this morning (February 14). The first body part was found on Monday (February 13.) A source close to the case said it was the woman's pelvic area. Le Parisien reports the blood-soaked lower torso, from below the chest to the knees, was found in a bag along with the head today under a pile of foliage at a remote location beside a disused railway line that runs through the south of the park. This has yet to be verified by officials. The corpse was not in a state of putrefaction, which seems to attest to a recent death." The location is remote and generally used as a storage room for employees of the park. Because the remains were found in an area rarely frequented by the general public, it is possible that the person police are searching for is an employee at the park. Investigators are now set to trawl through CCTV footage from all 10 entrances to the huge park which the person who disposed of the body could have walked through. After the discovery of the first body parts, the park was evacuated. A major search operation was launched as authorities meticulously searched the area. The body of Lola Davies was found bound and gagged inside a plastic suitcase close to her home, with signs of her having been sexually assaulted. Dahbia B, a homeless woman from Algeria, was accused of strangling the youngster, abusing her and scrawling the numbers "1" and "0" on her chest. An investigating source recently told The Daily Mail:“The suspect had boasted about selling body parts. Evidence suggests that the girl was taken into the basement of the flat, where she was tortured, and raped, before being strangled and having her throat cut. "The suspect is believed to suffer with serious psychological problems. "She was living on the street, but had friends and family in the Paris area.” Related links:
