She wasn’t wearing a mask

The California-based ridesharing company Lyft has banned a woman from using their services after she was caught coughing on, and assaulting, an Uber driver.

The Uber driver refused to drive the woman and her friends in San Francisco after they refused to wear masks.

Footage released by the Uber driver, Subhakar Khadka, shows the woman taking off her mask, coughing on the driver and grabbing his mobile phone.

In an interview with KPIX 5, Subhakar Khadka said: “If I was another complexion, I would have not gotten that treatment from them.

“The moment I opened my mouth to speak, they realised I’m among one of them, so it’s easy for them to intimidate me.”

He said that one of the woman’s friends pepper sprayed inside the car through a window once they had exited the vehicle.

The woman has since appeared on an Instagram live defending her actions, claiming that all she did was “take his mask off” and “cough a little bit.”

She ends the video by saying: “That’s why I use Lyft.”

Lyft has since banned the woman from using its services. Life really does come at you fast, doesn’t it?
