It’s not uncommon for arguments to erupt in the office, but one woman made sure that she got the last laugh after she had enough of the milk thieves.
Mum and office worker Savannah found that her coffee creamer, that she had just bought, was depleting at a disproportionate rate.
Once she realised this, she made a point to hit back at the thieves by replacing the liquid inside the bottle with her own breast milk.
A week after replacing the creamer's innards, she added a note to the bottle and revealed what she had done.
It read: "Good morning! To whomever has been enjoying my coffee creamer all week... surprise! You've been drinking my breast milk. Hope you've enjoyed. Cheers!"
"P.S. It's organic. So no worries," she hilariously added at the end.
People have been responding to Savannah's story and have shared their thoughts on her controversial tactics after she shared it on Reddit.
"If she put her name on it and it was still happening, fine, but if it's unlabelled, it's fair game," one person put.
"I've said this before but coffee creamer has to be the most frequently stolen item in workplace kitchens. Most places I've worked provide the coffee, sweetener, and maybe some s****y powdered creamer if you're lucky. If you dare to bring your own (even with your name on it) and put it in the fridge, it will get stolen, I guarantee it. Everyone thinks they can take a little bit and no one will notice. Aaaand then it's gone within a day," a second wrote.
A third explained their own way of deterring office thieves: "Someone used to always steal my juice from a pitcher that should have lasted me a week or two. My name was on it, but that didn't matter. I put a big label on it saying 'lab experiment' and it worked. No one took anything out anymore."
