When is the EFL Cup third round draw?

Eight sides will face off on Wednesday evening.

At 19:45, Newcastle United host West Brom at St James' Park.

Elsewhere, third-tier Bradford City host the recently relegated Burnley.

In North London, Spurs host South London outfit Charlton Athletic.

At 20:00, Preston North End host a returning David Moyes' Everton, which will be broadcasted live on Sky Sports.

On Thursday, there are two more clashes. Chelsea host the now-League 1 Luton Town.

Across West London, Fulham host AFC Wimbledon.

So when is the draw and who enters it?

Nine Premier League clubs taking part in European football will enter the tournament, alongside the 23 winners from the current round.

The third-round draw will take place on Wednesday, 26 August, following the conclusion of Preston North End v Everton.

Where can I watch it and when do the games take place?

The draw will be broadcasted live on Sky Sports.

The third round draw is not regionalised, though there will be a pre-draw determining which of the Champions League and Europa League sides will play at home or away in round three.

The eight UCL and UEL clubs cannot draw each other in Round Three. When the draw commences, the first eight fixtures decided are the ones that involve the clubs in these respective competitions.

The third round will be played across two weeks, the week commencing Monday, 7 September and Monday, 14 September.
