Andy Burnham has been busy getting to business since he replaced Keir Starmer as prime minister of the UK.
And, speaking of business, Burnham has been quick to lend a helping hand to Britain's hospitality sector as part of new cost of living measures.
On Monday, Burnham announced cutting VAT on electricity bills while yesterday, he announced the capping of bus fares at £2.
Now, today, he's announced business rates will also be cut by 20% for pubs, clubs and live venues from next April.
The PM said the package would be fully funded, including through a review of relief for businesses deemed not to make a positive contribution to communities, such as vape shops.
Around 32,000 pubs, clubs and live music venues across the country are set to benefit from the cut with the typical pub expected to save £1,100 in the next financial year, The Guardian reports.
The largest music venues will be excluded.
This 20% cut builds on the 15% business rates relief for pubs and live music venues announced by Rachel Reeves this year.
Well, not much really.
Unfortunately, for the average pint punter or music enjoyer, prices won't be changing much.
Really, the savings are to help these venues survive more than to cut prices - after all, a £1,100 saving will be welcome for these businesses, but won't affect prices.
Furthermore, many business owners have alluded to the 'devil in the detail'.
Speaking to the BBC, Steve Perez, founder of soft drinks company Global Brands and an owner of two hotels said: "Obviously it's welcome... but this won’t make any material difference to any pub."
Highlighting the cost of other increases like employer National Insurance contributions, Perez said: "It's a little bit like the supermarkets putting up the prices and then saying they've reduced them."
He added that he would like to see a sector wide cut to VAT, although did say that there are suggestions that "the government gets it".
