Massive industrial blaze near Wembley Stadium sparks severe travel chaos across London

Passengers are looking at alternative routes as fire disrupts travel options

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) said around 125 firefighters are tackling the fire with twenty fire engines that have also been sent to the scene.

The fire forced a nearby Amazon warehouse to evacuate as crews responded.

Residents in the immediate area have been urged to stay indoors where possible and to close their doors and windows because of the smoke.

People have been warned to avoid the area while firefighters tackle the blaze.

Dramatic pictures show huge columns of smoke rising into the sky over west London.

LFB said it received more than 70 calls reporting the fire at 11.34am. Crews from Wembley, Park Royal, Willesden and nearby fire stations rushed to the scene.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

The blaze has also caused major disruption to London's transport network with tube services on the Metropolitan line having been fully suspended.

There are also severe delays on the Jubilee line between Willesden Green and Wembley Park.

Rail services into London Marylebone have also been disrupted.

Transport for London said passengers have several alternative travel options.

Tickets will be accepted on London Buses and Docklands Light Railway services and passengers are said to be allowed to use the Elizabeth line and Mildmay line.

Tickets will also be accepted on c2c and Thameslink services.

The travel disruption comes as emergency crews continue their response to the industrial blaze.

The large smoke cloud has made the fire visible from across parts of west London. Further details about the incident are not yet known.
