The Russian president is reportedly furious that the Ukraine invasion is not already completed

Vladimir Putin is apparently holed up in his "lair in Urals" as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, with one security specialist predicting an attempt will be made on his life in the coming days. There are also fears for the safety of President Volodymyr Zelensky, with hundreds of mercenaries reportedly operating in Kyiv under Russian orders to assassinate the Ukrainian leader. The Times reports that more than 400 Russian mercenaries are in the capital in an attempt to kill Zelensky and decapitate the Ukrainian government. When knowledge of this operation reached the Ukrainian authorities, a 36-hour "hard" curfew was introduced in Kyiv, so that the city could be swept for Russian collaborators.
