In Serbia, firefighters were shocked when they found that a Virgin Mary painting was completely untouched, in a house that was all but burned down.
The painting was recovered in the town of Senta in northern Serbia. Almost everything else was burned in the fire.
The Virgin Mary icon, a Christian symbol of faith and hope, was found undamaged among the charred remains.
The painting of the Holy Mother was recovered by a firefighter as he was tackling the blaze.
And the whole discovery was hailed as a “miracle” by the Serbian authorities.

“In moments when they fight the fire, firefighters save memories, and restore faith and those things that mean the most to people. This is not just a miracle, this is a calling, this is humanity, and this is the reality of firefighters”, the Interior Ministry said.
But this isn’t the first time where apparent divine intervention occurred.
It happened last year too when in a small town in Guatemala, residents found all the books in a local store burned down, except for the Bibles.
A similar alleged miracle involving a Bible reportedly occurred many years ago, during World War I.
Years ago, a soldier claimed that his life was saved during the first World War thanks to a bullet-ridden Bible.
