In the immediate aftermath of a shocking knife attack in Dublin City Centre, protests have took the Irish capital by storm.
Videos shared on social media show police officers being attacked, shops being looted, and police cars, public buses and trams being set on fire.
The Dublin Fire Brigade's Ambulance Service have said that they are "extremely busy" while many locals have said that they have not seen violence like this in the capital for decades.
Police have said that a "hooligan faction driven by far-right ideology" are behind the protests.
The violence comes mere hours after a man, woman, and three children were injured following a stabbing outside a school in the city centre shortly after 13:30pm this afternoon.
The woman and a young girl remain in serious condition in hospital.
Protests started soon after in the city centre and quickly became violent.
Sky News reports that the situation is only getting worse at the time of writing.
At least one double decker bus has been set alight, while one Luas tram has been set on fire too.
Other footage circulating online shows police officers being attacked by angry mobs, shops being looted, and police cars being set ablaze.
