Dozens were fortunate to escape when a leopard forced its way onto the grounds of a school in Bangalore, India.
Thankfully no one died and only six people were injured when the animal frantically careered around the Vibgyor International school, according to reports from the BBC.
The male leopard was caught on CCTV attacking several men near a swimming pool as they tried to flee the scene.
Photos have emerged of the injured men being led away covered in blood with torn clothes and blood pouring from wounds.
The beast was on the loose around the Indian school for 10 hours as people desperately tried to corner it and bring it down with tranquillisers.
It was eventually tranquillised and removed from the premises. Among those hurt were a scientist and a forestry employee.
“It was a long struggle to capture the leopard,” a senior police spokesman told the police. “Although it was injected with tranquillisers it could be captured only around 20.15 local time when the medication took full effect.”
As you can see in the video below, it was a terrifying scene.
