A manhunt is underway after a US politician and her husband were shot dead in an 'assassination' by a suspect posing as a police officer.
Another politician is injured after he was also shot along with his wife, presumably by the same suspect.
Minnesota state rep Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot dead at their home.
State senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot, but thankfully they are expected to survive.
Both politicians are members of the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labour Party.
Trump said in a statement: "I have been briefed on the terrible shooting that took place in Minnesota, which appears to be a targeted attack against State Lawmakers.
"Our Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and the FBI, are investigating the situation, and they will be prosecuting anyone involved to the fullest extent of the law.
"Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America."
Authorities have urged residents of the Champlin and Brooklyn Park areas to stay in their homes.
