A taste of summer

Parts of the UK look set to experience some balmy temperatures this weekend as sunny weather arrives.

Some areas of the country will see the mercury rise above 17C over the coming days, teasing Brits with a taste of the summer to come, according to WXCharts.

Meanwhile, temperatures in Madrid will be 16.7C, the Mirror reports.

The Met Office forecasts that temperatures will be “rather mild in the south and turning increasingly mild in the north after a chilly start” this weekend.

Whilst temperatures look set to be warm, with the possibility that Londoners could experience 19C on Saturday, it won’t be all sun for the UK.

The forecaster has also warned of “unsettled” weather, predicting rain, sunny spells and increasingly strong winds towards the end of the week, following a particularly rainy spell throughout March.

Forecaster Greg Dewhurst said: “It turns wetter and windier through Thursday and towards the end of the week. So further showers and longer spells of rain pushing through on Thursday, Friday and into Saturday. The winds start to pick up too but the wind is coming in from the south which keeps temperatures above average.

“It’s possible we will get some brighter spells but the winds will pick up too, so it might not feel quite so pleasant, particularly with showery rain across the country.”
