UK goes into meltdown as everyone realises Brexit means we can no longer get PG Tips

This has really PG Tipped us over the edge.

“First they came for the Ben & Jerry’s… and I did not speak out because I did not have a sweet tooth…”

Then they came for the Marmite… and I did not speak out for I do not have weird tastebuds.

Then they came for the PG Tips… and I promptly lost all sense of reality as the British are rubbish without their tea.

The Unilever-Tesco fallout continues, as more and more people slowly realise that a number of their favourite household products are running out of stock because of Brexit.

With the value of the pound at a catastrophic low thanks to Brexit, multi-national suppliers are trying to get British retailers to raise prices in order to absorb the loss.

Tesco has refused Unilever’s proposal to increase prices on their goods by 10%, and Unilever has responded by no longer supplying their goods to British Tesco stores effective as of last night.

That means Tesco shoppers are out of luck if they are on the look out for *deep breath* Persil, Surf, Dove, Comfort, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, Elmlea, Colman’s, Helmann’s, Marmite, Knorr, Bertolli, Flora, Comfort and Pot Noodle.

Oh, and PG Tips.

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, WE ARE IN A TEA SHORTAGE.

2016 is a Mad Max style hellscape where the British people are fighting over tea.

People who like milky tea will be the first to lose, as fights over “brown gold” escalate and the nation is divided into soft water and hard water territories.

It’s almost as if people voted to Leave without properly understanding how freedom of movement works, and are now sad a product grown overseas is not easily accessible in the UK.

Ah well, one could always go to another supermarket for their PG Tips. And there’s always Yorkshire Tea too…
