Two people have died and four are seriously hurt after a car collided with pedestrians.
The incident is reported to have happened in Doncaster on Sunday, although has only been made public by police today.
South Yorkshire Police said that they were called to an incident involving a "multiple vehicle collision" in White Rose Way.
Reportedly, a black Mitsubishi L200 was travelling down the carriageway before it collided with a group of four pedestrians.
The car subsequently collided with a black Audi and a silver BMW which were travelling on the other side of the carriageway, police said.
Two pedestrians died at the scene while four others were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An air ambulance attended the scene between Carriage Drive and Middle Bank Roundabout.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit.
He has since been bailed pending further enquiries, said police.
South Yorkshire Police has launched an investigation and urged any witnesses to come forward.
A force spokesperson said: “We are appealing for any witnesses, and anyone who may have dashcam footage, following a fatal road traffic collision in Doncaster over the weekend.

“Please quote incident number 345 of 13 September 2026 when you get in touch.”
