Anne Burrell was found unconscious in her New York apartment yesterday morning (June 18).
Paramedics rushed to the American chef's home in Brooklyn, New York City, where they found Anne Burrell unconscious.
Doctors reportedly were unable to revive Anne and ended up declaring her dead at the scene.
Her cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
A spokesperson for Food Network, said: "Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent — teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring.
"Our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss."
Anne began her extensive TV career in 2005 when she joined Mark Ladner for Food Network's Iron Chef America series.
Only three years later, she hosted her own series called Secrets of a Restaurant Chef.
In 2009 she appeared on The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
However, most people will remember her for hosting the Worst Cooks in America show, which debuted in 2010.
The series showed Burrell and Beau MacMillan mentoring tragic home cooks and coaching them into becoming competent chefs. The show has been running for the past 15 years, spanning 28 seasons and 198 episodes, including a celebrity special of the beloved series.
Anne Burrell leaves behind her husband, Stuart Claxton, whom she married back in 2021.
A statement of the chef's family read that Burrel will be remembered as a "beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend," per Metro,
"Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world.
"Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal."
