Peacock has released the first official trailer for ‘The Continental’ – the latest addition to the hugely popular ‘John Wick’ franchise.
The spin-off miniseries, starring legendary movie star Mel Gibson, is a prequel to the ‘John Wick’ films starring Keanu Reaves.
The series will be set in 1970s New York and centres around the character of Winston Scott, who acquired The Continental, a chain of hotels considered a neutral ground for trained assassins.
Gibson, who plays ruthless kingpin Cormac, can be heard making a very serious threat towards Winston and his brother in the trailer.
“Winston, your brother stole something from me. Find him, because if you don’t I’ll bring the weight of this whole institution down on you both.”
Another voice can be heard saying “What he took is very important to a lot of very dangerous people.”
Whilst it’s unclear exactly what Cormac is referring to, theories on potential storylines have already gripped the internet, sending avid Wick fans into a frenzy.
You can officially check into ‘The Continental’ on September 22nd when part one drops, with part two premiering on September 29th and the final part on October 6th.
