Terrifying news coming out of New York on Friday morning.
A baby girl is in a serious condition after five people were attacked by a 52-year-old woman in a nursery in Queens on Friday morning.
Another baby girl and boy were also stabbed, as were two adults in the incident. The conditions of those two babies and the two adults are not believed to be life-threatening.
The incident happened at 161st Street in Flushing overnight. One of the adults attacked works at the nursery and the other was a father of a child.
In the aftermath of the attack, the woman went into the basement of the property and attempted to take her own life.
An NYPD official said: "The female suspect is in custody. She tried to commit suicide by slashing her wrists."
New York police have not released a potential motive for the attack yet.
Four other children were removed from the nursery uninjured.
