Thousands scream ‘f*** the government and f*** Boris’ at Stormzy gig

Thousands of people watching Stormzy perform at Radio 1's Big Weekend on Saturday screamed the line 'fuck Boris' back to him

The nation’s mood is clear

Boris Johnson is likely to become our next prime minister. Despite the bumbling mess displaying no signs of being sufficiently competent to run the country, as well as a blatant disregard for the people of Britain, the old Etonian is very popular among swathes of gammon.

There is an equally large, if not larger number of people on the anti-Boris side of the debate though. Especially, it appears, among the youth of Middlesbrough.

The north-eastern town hosted Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival this weekend, with south London’s Stormzy headlining the Saturday.

His new single, Vossi Bop, features the line: ‘I can never die I’m Chuck Norris/Fuck the government and fuck Boris’, which the Teeside crowd screamed back to him passionately during his performance.

Just in case you were wondering what people think of the current government and Boris Johnson in the north east. They’re not fans.
