Temperatures have plummeted across the UK following last week's heatwave as Brits suddenly have to cope with ferocious winds.
Last Friday, large parts of the country basked in temperatures north of 30C, as summer finally decided to arrive.
But it hasn't lasted long, with many areas experiencing much cooler climates on Monday.
The Mirror reports that remote parts of the Scottish Highlands will see temperatures of 9C, whilst parts of Wales, the Midlands and the North West deal have seen the mercury struggle to reach the teens.
This is in part down to strong winds from the west, and North Yorkshire and Cumbria look set to be battered by 40mph gusts this afternoon.
"Under those clear spells towards the northwest (of the UK) it will turn quite chilly on Monday morning, we could see lows into single figures here but elsewhere there will be cloud and the showery outbreaks of rain," said Met Office meteorologist Marco Petagna.
"Those outbreaks of rain across the northern England and southern Scotland generally break up as we go through the morning and given way to sunshine and scattered, quite heavy showers in the afternoon. One or two of those showers could also be quite thundery."
The thunderstorms will be strongest in the North East of England.
Wet weather was a common theme across Britain over the weekend, but there are hopes temperatures will rise back up to the mid-twenties later this week.
