A husband has gone viral after he put a Taylor Swift talk jar in his home.
Now, 2023 has felt like it has been the year of Taylor Swift.
From the release of not just one but two re-recorded albums to the incredible success of The Eras Tour, Taylor has had a blockbuster of a year.
However, for partners over the globe, Taylor’s cultural dominance has become somewhat of a hindrance.
So much so, in fact, that one husband even created a Taylor Swift jar for his wife, in the same way that people use swear jars to discourage others from swearing.
Maryland resident Dana Rice shared a clip of her husband’s “invention” to Instagram after he grew tired of her constant chatter about the ‘Is It Over Now’ singer.
The jar is not just for mentions of Ms Swift, though, but also her new beau, NFL star Travis Kelce.
“Any mention of T. Swift and you owe $0.25,” the jar reads. “I can’t take it anymore.”
Dana says she first became a Swiftie after the launch of The Eras Tour earlier this year, and fellow fans have rushed to her defence.
“25 cents is a small price to pay to spread the gospel,” one Swifte wrote.
A second joked: ““Jokes on him, you’re using the money to go see her live.”
“Put a jar next to it for football mentions. Anytime he mentions the NFL at all, it’s a quarter,” a third put.
