The switch to a six hour day was made by Toyota centres in Sweden's second largest city, Gothenburg, over a decade ago. The company soon reported happier staff, an increase in profits and a lower turnover during that time.
With the introduction of a six-hour day also said to improve productivity and allow employees more time to enjoy their private lives, more companies are expected to do the same.
