The switch to a six hour day was made by Toyota centres in Sweden's second largest city, Gothenburg, over a decade ago. The company soon reported happier staff, an increase in profits and a lower turnover during that time.
With the introduction of a six-hour day also said to improve productivity and allow employees more time to enjoy their private lives, more companies are expected to do the same.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that it catches on over here very soon.
