A car explosion that has killed at least one person in central Berlin is suspected to have been caused by a bomb.

Police told reporters that the blast, which occurred at around 8am this morning in the borough Charlottenburg and left the driver dead, was likely triggered by a device in the vehicle. There has so far been no official confirmation of the cause.
