Simon McCoy leaves GB News just six months after channel launch

The presenter is the latest big name to leave the channel

Simon McCoy has announced that he is stepping down from GB News for "personal reasons," a spokesperson for the channel has said. The former BBC News presenter announced he was joining GB News in March this year. In September, the channel's chairman and lead presenter, Andrew Neil, announced that he was resigning from his position. The 72-year-old had been on air for just two weeks before announcing that he was taking a break from the channel, before later confirming he had left permanently after becoming a "minority of one" within the management.
