Rush Hour 4 is in development after Trump reportedly pushed for a sequel of the popular franchise.
The news comes as per Deadline, who say that a fourth instalment of the popular film is in the works and it's all thanks to the US president.
Deadline reported that pressure from Trump was the cause behind the sequel.
The film is set to be distributed by Paramount on behalf of Warner Bros.
On Sunday, Semafor reported that Trump had pressed billionaire Paramount owner Larry Ellison to revive the franchise.
Ellison is also an ally of Trump.
Last year, rumours of controversial director Brett Ratner returning for the fourth film in the buddy cop franchise was enough to leave the movie without a home.
However, this looks all set to change.
