Red paint thrown all over BBC building in London

Joseph Loftus

‘Just arrived at work. This is the front entrance to BBC this morning’

The entrance to the BBC HQ in London has been vandalised after being covered in red paint.

BBC presenter, Victoria Derbyshire, shared images and video of the exterior to the building this morning.

Alongside the footage, she wrote: “Just arrived at work. This is the front entrance to BBC this morning.”

The BBC has faced criticism in recent days for not describing Hamas militants as terrorists.

They have also come under fire for their drama The Reckoning which follows Jimmy Savile, one of the UK’s most notorious paedofiles, who was also a BBC employee.

The Met Police have claimed that the incident is not linked to any protest group as of yet.

Police officers are reportedly stood guard outside the BBC as a large pro-Palestinian protest is set to take place across the capital today.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “We are aware of criminal damage to a building in Portland Place, W1A.

“At this stage there is no suggestion this is linked to any protest group.”
