Disgraced musician R Kelly has been rushed to hospital after overdosing in prison.
A court filing by his attorney claimed that the 58-year-old suffered an overdose after being given medicine by prison staff.
The 'Ignition' rapper is currently serving a 30-year sentence in a jail in North Carolina for sex trafficking and racketeering.
His attorney says he was placed into solitary confinement on June 10, and was given anxiety medication.
The filing, obtained by USA TODAY, says that staff then provided him with "overdose quantity" of medication on June 12, which led to his hospitalisation on Friday, June 13.
Kelly reported feeling "faint" and "dizzy", and seeing "black spots in his vision" before passing out.
He was rushed to Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, which his legal team says is a result of being given a dangerous amount of medication.
The Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on "pending litigation."

It comes as Kelly's lawyers are seeking for Trump to pardon the rapper, citing 'fears he may be killed'.
They claim he was placed into solitary confinement "against his will" on June 10, a short while after his team filed for furlough in an emergency motion.
In the motion, Kelly's lawyers claimed three officials from the Bureau of Prisons were plotting to have him killed by another inmate in prison.
