The Ukrainian capital has been hit overnight by 10-hour-long Russian missile and drone strikes.
Two women, a 68-year-old and a 22-year-old police corporal, have been killed during the latest Russian assault against Ukraine.
The Kremlin doesn't appear to be slowing down after it released its heaviest strike on Ukraine in the war so far Tuesday night (July 8), launching more than 700 drones and missiles at Ukraine.
It is believed to be the most severe attack on Ukraine since the conflict began in 2023.
Lutsk and Ternopil, situated in the west of Ukraine, were some of the heaviest-hit targets, immediately sparking an emergency response from Nato forces in Poland.
A statement from Warsaw’s armed forces command said: “In connection with the attack by the Russian Federation’s air forces carrying out strikes on objects located in the territory of Ukraine, Polish and allied aviation has begun operating in Polish airspace.”
Russian drones and missiles also hit warehouses in the Kyiv region, setting fire to the buildings.
The attacks come days after Donald Trump promised he would send more weapons to Ukraine if Vladimir Putin continues to reject ceasefire talks.
Despite claiming Trump could end the Russia-Ukraine war within 24 hours, the US President has complained of Putin's 'bullsh***' during previous ceasefire talks, per Metro.
Leaked audio from 2024 reveals Trump boasting he would 'bomb the s*** out of Moscow' if Putin were to invade Ukraine was released yesterday (July 9).
Kyiv has been left battered and bruised this morning after enduring the relentless drone strikes, which destroyed buildings, ripped up roads, damaged homes, and set fire across the capital.
