Prince Edward’s plane forced to make dramatic U-turn following sudden “technical issue”

Alternative travel arrangements for the royals are being made

The plane carrying Prince Edward and Countess Sophie had to be diverted by to the UK after suffering a "technical issue" in mid-air. The Earl and Countess of Wessex had been travelling to Gibraltar and had been due to walk down Main Street from the Convent to City Hall at 4pm, the Mirror reports. A statement said that the Wessexes flight had been "diverted safely back to the UK due to a technical issue."
