Prince Charles said the Queen's passing will be 'deeply felt throughout the country'

Prince Charles has issued a statement after becoming the King, following the passing of his mother on Thursday afternoon, aged 96. His Majesty said the death of my "beloved mother" is a moment of "the greatest sadness for me and all member of my family". The statement continued: "We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by the countless people around the world.
