Hefner died of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Hugh Hefner, founder of Playboy magazine, has died at the age of 91. A statement released by Playboy Enterprises, Inc. on Wednesday night read: "Hugh M. Hefner, the American icon who in 1953 introduced the world to Playboy magazine and built the company into one of the most recognisable American global brands in history, peacefully passed away today from natural causes at his home, The Playboy Mansion, surrounded by loved ones." https://twitter.com/Playboy/status/913240335358111744 Hefner is survived by his wife Crystal and his four children, David, Marston, Cooper – currently Chief Creative Officer at Playboy Enterprises, Inc. and Christie, who served as CEO of the company for over 20 years.
