Pete Davidson in ‘trauma therapy’ after being ‘triggered’ by Kanye West’s harassment

Davidson is said to have been receiving treatment since April

Pete Davidson has reportedly been seeing a therapist for ‘trauma therapy’ after months of online harassment from Kanye West over his, now, former relationship with the rapper’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

West on Monday mocked Davidson over the split by posting a front-page mockup on Instagram saying, ‘Skete Davidson dead at age 28’. West later removed the post which Kardashian, 41, was said to have branded, “appalling”.

The comedian reportedly sought help after West launched a campaign of abuse against him on social media as well as name-checking him in his song Eazy, with the Game. A video for the single appeared to show Davidson being buried.

The former Saturday Night Live (SNL) performer and the reality star split over the weekend.

The Mail on Tuesday reported that Davidson found the “attention and negativity” coming from West a “trigger” and suggested he had been receiving treatment since April.

A source told People on Monday: “He has been in trauma therapy in large part [due to Kanye].

“The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help.”

Despite requiring treatment, Davidson is said to have “no regrets” about his nine months with Kardashian after the pair met on the set of SNL in October.

The insider added to People: “[Pete] has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship… Moving forward he just wants to focus on his career.”

A source told People that representatives for both Kardashian and Davidson contacted Instagram to remove the post.
