Oscar-nominated composer Danny Elfman accused of sexual assault

It comes just months after another allegation became public

A second woman has accused award-winning composer Danny Elfman of sexual assault.

The unnamed woman, who has filed a lawsuit against Elfman, claims he took advantage of his power in the industry and stripped naked in front of her on numerous occasions.

The woman also claims that Elfman masturbated while she lay sleeping next to him.

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles superior court on Wednesday and comes just three months after it was revealed that Elfman had previously been accused of similar behaviour.

That suit came to an end when Elfman paid $830,000 in compensation to the woman.

In the former case, Elfman denied the allegations which had been brought forward by a young composer called Nomi Abadi.

In response to these latest allegations, a spokesperson for Elfman told the Hollywood Reporter: “The allegations of misconduct made against Mr Elfman are baseless and absurd.

“His legal team is assessing all options and he will vigorously defend these claims in court.”

The latest case has been submitted by an anonymous woman named in documents as Jane Doe XX.

The woman was 21-years-old at the time and was studying at the New York Film Academy when she met Elfman, then 47, back in 1997.

According to the lawsuit, Elfman took advantage of his status to “groom her”.

She alleges that Elfman would frequently take off all of his clothing and asked her to strip naked too – which she did because she deemed him to be valuable.

As their “relationship” developed, the woman claims Elfman often slept in the same bed as her and later told her he would masturbate while she slept.

The suit claims: “His revelation that he masturbated over her was without her consent or knowledge.”
