For some people, there is nothing more romantic than dancing to one of your favourite songs with the one you love at your wedding.

Whether it’s a love song or just a track that means something to you and your other half, many take their wedding playlist very seriously.

However, one X user took to the social media platform to announce a list of songs that are banned from his wedding.

It began with ‘anything by Oasis’ which is a controversial statement these days anyway after the band announced they were reuniting for a run of shows next year.

The list also featured sing-a-long favourites like Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’ and Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’.

In the viral post, the man asked: “I need more suggestions, please help twitter.”

Over 10,000 people responded and there was one interesting response in particular… Olly Murs.

Murs responded simply by saying: “Anything by Olly Murs”. The original poster replied saying he would ‘allow’ the singer’s 2012 hit ‘Troublemaker’ claiming it was ‘an absolute banger’.

Fans of Murs responded, disagreeing with him and sharing their own wedding playlists.

One said: “799 days til my wedding and you’re 100% on the playlist.”

Though it seems Murs was joking with his comment, he has given no further insight since making the remark.

The 40-year-old former X Factor contestant has had four UK number one singles and has released seven albums, five of which have topped the charts including his latest album ‘Marry Me’.

Earlier this year, he became a dad to a baby girl called Madison. Speaking in an interview with The Sun he spoke of his baby girl.

He said: “I didn’t mind what I had, but when Madison came out, and she was a girl, it was like, ‘Oh, this is weird.’

“Now I’m getting my head around it, but being a father of a girl has different challenges.”

Murs heads back out on tour next April.
