We have another new record

The UK has hit an all-time temperature record with 40.2C being recorded at Heathrow Airport. Shortly before midday, the previous record was broken, with the temperature reaching 39.1C in Surrey. Before this week, the previous record stood at 38.7C, set in 2019 at Cambridge Botanic Garden. The night-time record was broken overnight, as Kenley in Surrey hit 25.8C.
