A couple with a 40 year age gap have spoken out about their relationship
Willow, a 23-year-old model, and David, a 62-year-old real estate developer, met each other on Tinder.
The duo have fought against social conventions, but say that their “connection” was so strong that they made their relationship official after just an hour of their first date.
“He acts like a 15-year-old boy, I get B-12 energy shots to keep up,” Willow said of her partner.
Speaking to Truly’s Love Don’t Judge, she hit out at critics of their relationship.
“In public people never really say anything at all but on social media people like to call me a gold-digger,” she said.
David chimed in: “Some people say I’m just a sugar daddy.”
He shared that he often gets comments where people assume he is Willow’s dad, or even her granddad.
While Willow says she has a “f*** it mentality”, David said he often takes these comments “personally”.
Despite people’s comments, the age difference has never been something that concerned Willow.
“When I first met him I didn’t ask you how old you were, I didn’t really ask you what you did, I didn’t want to know anything. I didn’t want to be influenced by anything outside, I just wanted to know him as a person first,” she said.
Willow confirmed that her family are 100 percent behind her, with her mum even believing that the pair must have known each other in another life.
After just three months of dating, the couple are already considering marriage.
“We’re going to get a private jet and take everybody to Italy,” Willow said.
David confirmed that he was “a little concerned” about Willow’s age as she is “really young”, but that he believes their partnership is different to his past ones.
“I’ve dated pretty girls before but there wasn’t a connection, this was a connection, a real connection and she makes me happy,” he said.
“I treat her like a queen, pull her chair out, I stand up when she stands up.”
Willow explained why she enjoys dating older men, and admitted that David is not her first.
“I’ve definitely dated older men before. They’ve learned already and you don’t have to babysit them. They’re courteous, they know how to take care of you, you know open the car door, pull the chair out, stand up when you get to the table, it’s nice.”
